The wide sandy beach at Summerland is a delight and the adjacent Lookout Park, with its sweeping ocean and island views, picnic tables and public parking, makes beachgoing at Summerland a pleasure. The numerous antique shops and cafes in the quaint beachside town of Summerland are a short (albeit uphill) stroll away. During a low tide, one can beachwalk for miles in either direction, but usually one will find Summerland Beach to be a self contained oasis.

There are only 11 bluff-top homes, 2 non-bluff-top homes and 2 beachfront condominiums on Summerland Beach. The bluff in Summerland is only about 30' high and almost every home has its own staircase down to the sand. The views from every home are absolutely spectacular and all are beautifully landscaped.
